You are interested in a course of studies, which will prepare you for a career in the area of information service - both provision and preservation - by means of sophisticated technologies? At our department you can apply for one of our three undergraduate programmes:
Currently our faculty has close to 400 students, 13 professors and a number of lecturers who teach and take care of them. Academic and technical staff provides additional support.
In addition, a 3-year-long postgraduate course for full-time employees from archives and related institutions was initiated.
Since April 2011 we have offered our newly designed three-term-long postgraduate programme for graduates with a degree in Information Science or related.
The faculty does also closely cooperate with the "Institute for Information and Documentation" (IID), which offers another postgraduate programme for full-time employees. This programme results in a degree as Academic Information Specialist - a government-accredited degree ("Wissenschaftlicher Dokumentar").
